This beautiful Queen Anne style home,built in 1906 just blocks from the beach and The Grand Galvez Hotel,was renovated by a Houston architect in 2018 to serve as her own home on the island.The exterior architecture remains as originally built,and while much of the historic interior details remain,it now offers all new amenities including a spacious open living/kitchen space,new lighting and appliances,and all new wiring and plumbing.Wood floors downstairs are painted sea-glass blue and the pine floors upstairs have been sanded back to reveal their original character,then lightly pickled to create a soft white washed linen glow.The kitchen was updated with all new cabinets,counters and appliances.All electrical and plumbing lines were replaced with flex.The 3-car garage has been modernized to include 3 overhead doors,independently operated,facing the alley.All of the furniture and artwork were curated for this property in keeping with the coastal design vision the architect had in mind.
