The subject is within an unincorporated area of Galveston County. Galveston County does not enforce a zoning ordinance. Virtually any use of the tract is legally permissible. However, the tract is wholly within FEMA Flood Zone VE. Building codes within this designation area require any development to be above the base flood elevation (BFE).
