Quarry master's house built circa 1865, part of former Lanesville Granite Co. quarry compound. Backyard was used to cobble granite pieces cut from nearby quarry. House has been lovingly restored, all foundation pieces have been repointed inside and out. The chimney was rebuilt, two flues, new bathrooms, rooms are painted parchment with white trim. Original detail throughout, wood floors, chair and window frame molding. Sunlight spills into house in morning and turns and spills in again in afternoon. Catalpa tree to the north, maples, oaks, pines, privet hedge, rock walls along border, providing much privacy; granite steps lead to front door. Lovely garden bed, small in-ground wading pool.
