Over decades, the powerful Pacific surf pounded discarded bottles and tailpipes into smooth, frosted sea glass that now litters the shore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a sunny day, the shoreline looks as if nature dusted the coast with gems in shades of amber, forest green, and the occasional rare ruby red. Because visitors took so many souvenirs over the decades, they significantly depleted the glass. To ensure this unique site survives, the park urges tourists to take only photos and leave the glass for others to admire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
